Plymouth Select Board Supports PHATS!

The Plymouth Select Board unanimously supported the Forestry Legacy Grant submission request intended to purchase the property currently owned by Holtec and include the PHATS concept in their ongoing Holtec negotiations.

This is an incredibly important and exciting move for the town. Next steps: the town will engage further with Holtec to request a “Willing Seller” letter which in turn will allow for an environmental inventory and land value assessment of the property in question (see straw project plan below).

While this is “a game of inches”, the unanimous support from the Select Board sends clear signals of the town’s desire to conserve this property and promote non-motorized outdoor recreation. It also opens the door for master planning and further matching funds discovery.
